I have so much from this summer that I didn't post, so we'll start with the afternoon I spent at my friend Lisa's house trying to get her son, Micael, to smile.
Russian Orthodox Easter was on April 27. Karlin and I visited Novodevichy Cemetery (adjacent to Novodevichy Monastery, which we’d visited long ago - February?). Lonely Planet calls it “one of Moscow’s most prestigious resting places- a veritable ‘who’s who’ of Russian politics and culture.”
